Alison Kitay, MDOrthopaedic Surgeon
Dr. Kitay brings her Harvard-trained expertise in complex hand and upper extremity conditions to the DC area. Her practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions effecting the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder in both adults and children. These conditions include arthritis, nerve compressions (such as carpal tunnel syndrome), fractures, lacerations, tendon problems, and other traumatic conditions of the upper extremity.
Dr. Kitay graduated in the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society from the NYU School of Medicine and Magna Cum Laude from Amherst College, where she was also an All-American lacrosse player. She completed her orthopedic surgical training at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York (rated #1 for orthopedics by the US News and World Report during her time there). After completing her residency, Dr. Kitay received additional sub-specialty training in hand and upper extremity at the Harvard Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship prior to returning home to the Washington, DC area.
